This role can be based anywhere in Europe, including home office.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
1. Strategic Quality Program Deployment
a) This position serves as the in-region leader representative for the GSC Quality function on a Global Steering Committee. The Steering committee will develop and implement the elements of a unified Quality Management System and ensure compliance to those elements in support of Operational Excellence and World Class Quality.
b) Develop and executes strategies to achieve compliance to the Quality Management System requirements, including Quality Standards compliance, throughout the entire Global Supply Chain (RM’s, QA, Manufacturing, Packaging/Filling, Finished Goods), Non-conformance Management (Discovery & ARC), and successful Commercialization of new products (FMAP Program). Supports initial program training and assessment to establish and execute action plans for full implementation. Ensure completion of regular program audits, execute action plans to close identified gaps and maintain compliance.
c) Leads Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) for GSC in the region including communicating regular status updates to the business unit leads. Drives complaint resolution with operations, R&D and commercial teams using ARC as appropriate. Creates trend analysis and reports to identify improvement opportunities and open CI projects where appropriate.
d) Supports implementing and maintaining the Global Business Management System (GBMS) requirements and ISO certification requirements, where applicable.
e) Supports the compliance to additional Quality Programs (Microbial Control Program, Perfect Package Appearance, Opportunity Rex) for applicable sites in scope of each program.
f) Provides leadership in developing, implementing and improving systems, tools and processes to maintain consistency, minimize duplication of efforts and achieve Primary Quality Metric goals in the most efficient way possible. Lead quality CI projects to drive results and improve efficiencies. Responsible for regional team CIP management as part of GSC GBMS.
2. Project Execution
a) Manages the execution of quality projects include resourcing optimization and site consolidations.
b) Ensures the effective implementation of new formulas into Manufacturing and coordinates ongoing technical service support to resolve operating issues.
c) Supports SW IT Systems deployment activities as they relate to the Quality and successful manufacturing of finished goods.
d) Coordinates and communicates between R&D, Operations, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain in GSC, PCG and CBG.
e) Allocates resources as necessary to ensure timely completion of all projects.
1. Formal Education:
• BS Chemistry/Engineering or related field or equivalent
2. Knowledge & Experience:
Proven experience of working in a chemical manufacturing/processing environment. Experience within a formulation environment, not assembly manufacturing.
Extensive relevant experience in Quality and/or R&D Operations
Proven experience of managing multiple countries.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certified
• Operations experience
